              Handel Messiah
              Mahler Resurrection Sym
              Mendelssohn- Wesley Hark the Herald
              Elgar Gerontius

There is another A Alice Coote has soloed in Messiah, Mahler songs, Elijah and of course a heavenly angel in Gerontius.

I suppose after all this you're going to tell me no!

No, I'm going to tell you '2 out of 4'. There is indeed an angel in Gerontius and any number in the Mendelssohn-based carol. In Handel's case I'm thinking of one angel, and in Mahler's of three.

I was thinking of the 5th movement of the 3rd symphony, but that's the song in question.
Cloughie appears to be 2-1 ahead.
In which work does Handel's solitary angel appear?
