Are we in classical music? I've drawn a blank today so far...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

            Two classical pieces, one rock.

The only musical rock I can think of is the Bass Rock. (Which gives you some idea of how far I am from whatever the answer eventually proves to be).

                It's dead easy really!

The link I posted doesn't seem to work. (It's Wilhelm Kempff playing the first movement of the 'Moonlight Sonata'). I don't know whether 'dead' and/or 'easy' (or indeed 'really') are some sort of clue. I shall now retire in a state of not inconsiderable befuddlement.

Graham made me think of Brighton Rock... And Mr Greene is dead. But I guess I'm as far out as you, NB.

I'll just do a quick google search for dead musical people with the three names in question. Back shortly!

Don't go searching for the living amongst the dead. The E is death related, but in the title of the music.

                                I can't find any death-related music in Spohr's output
Louis Andriessen has written a couple of Elegies - is Elegy a death-related word? - I guess it is
