    Pleasant Good Friday outing, Cloughie?

    Try this for size....

An E (spelt slightly differently in each case) unites Luxembourg, the Juilliard School and Honoré d'Urfé.

    Pray elucidate.

    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments

Forgive me, yes. I'll amend the question.

No... but would be intrigued to know your thinking. And indeed the meaning of Epitres, which I shall look up...

Done so: as in the epistles...

I haven't a clue other than Honore whatshisname wrote something called it.

It's another of Honoré whatsit's works that you're after - it's not an E itself, but is a link to one of the Es

Not directly though the word you want has a linguistic link, and is the name of an instrumental ensemble... which will lead you to one of the Es

And mercs, no - no Henrys are involved in any way; nor is the word 'eclogue'.

is it to do with a particular alumnus or teacher at Juilliard ?
is Astree the relevant d'Urfe work ?
