Such simplicity - a gift really! - Either I am getting soft or you're getting into the mind of the setter. In danger of losing my Cryptic Crown to Flay.

The summary for Anna is Simple

        Ben Britten's Simple Symphony.
Aaron Copland's Appalachain Spring includes Simple Gifts.
not Hinge but Brackett's Simple Gifts.

        Flay to T up methinks!

A laudable but wasted effort at a guess, cloughie ... it's a Thursday so she'll be down the local market eyeing up the totty - by which I mean sheep farmers & shepherds and not sheep - I know what sort of imagination you English have

              Huh?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Another reference to Mr O'Sullivan, Calibs - his Winterreise (accompanied by Les Dawson) is one of the great might-have-beens of recording history, I reckon

                  Ah!

What would we do without your elucidating presence, Ams?

Indeed so Ams and Cali - I always liked his tuneful, witty ditties!

Actually I think the greatest might have beens with Les Dawson would have been for him to accompany Hilda Ogdon!

Enough of this wailing, let's have some fun. Time for T

                      A single T:

                      Percy had four.
Bill had one with Anne at the Albert
                      But Dmitri’s was all alone.
                      Pacta sunt servanda !!!

Not Corrie's Phyllis' Vissi d'arte accompanied by Percy Sugden on washboard & mouth organ? Bootleg recording from Ken Barlow's Opera Night at the Mission (what would Ena Sharples say? )
