Spot on as ever Ams care to fill in the gaps before you take your B Line?

Nice poser, expertly unravelled. I was (and actually still am) nowhere on this puzzle. I am hoping for a full "Anna's Law" statement of the solution and connections!

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I suspect ammy's gorn up west to take in a show (is there a freebie at t'Academy this lunchtime?) followed by a few Friday afternoon ales

He may be some time, as the man said...

...and young Anton seems to have just left us stranded.

Sorry I said Ams was correct and had the B and just asked for the 3 answers......

But as I trust Ams more than anyone we had William Alwyn

                              Born in Cobblerville
Son as opposed to Daughter of a Grocer and
Composer of Derby Day inspired by Firth/Frith and The Derby Day.

                              B prepared for/by Am!

Oh! I was looking at Sir Alwyn Williams, the Geologist who had a building named after him which is an extention of the Queen Margaret Buildings at Glasgow University.

... or the fact that, for many of us, Thatcher's period in office was a Tragic Interlude!
