      Simples
So it's Baldwin - and the Baldwin SD-10 is a pianner! But did PM Baldwin die a mysterious death? He presumably had nothing to do with Cuba...

And who is Cloughie's friend Bob?

I'm confused and about to set out, back in an hour.

        Jorge Bolet.

        Life-long endorser of Baldwin pianos.
        Born in Cuba.
Officially died of heart failure, reportedly/rumoured to have died of AIDS-related "complications".

Point of clarification please - which three crowned monarchs did Baldwin serve?

Shame that Baldwin only served under two crowned monarchs!

Premiering works by Bach, Liszt and Wagner, this C was a Rational master of the rolls.

I didn't really follow it through, only Stanley just seemed to be the B who was around longer than anyone else. I assume you may be playing the Edward VIII card?

Look forward for ammy's input, can't be bovvered to google at the mo...

Indeed so and #17995 indicated all three were indeed crowned, so I went back in time and found B for Bob Walpole! No matter I do not hold it against ammy - we all drop the odd googly that turns out to be a no-ball (careful with my words not wanting to say the wrong ff ing thing!

The nearest I can get to this is Camille. The reason being that Saint-Saens seems to have premièred pieces by all of them, including his own arrangements of a couple of Bach pieces on Ampico piano rolls (of which he could be described as a master). But I can't make the word "Rational" fit.. so that's probably all wrong...

I wondered about him but couldn't make him fit either... Why 'Rational'?

The right sort of "Roll", Cali. But not the right C.
