Well Flay, I thought I'd got it but Caliban's and QI reference and Billy Connolly makes me wonder if I'm wrong, so let's see what his thoughts are ...... Edit: Whoops, didn't Cali's last!

      Oh b•gger!!

It's called the Dance of the Knights...

So.... on the basis that Canterbury in a quiz = Chaucer = The Knight's Tale

Working on the remaining element (whilst balancing the Dunce's cap on my head )

      EDIT:

Gladys Knight and her timely pips... who sang "When a child is born", that mawkish festive number, with Mr J Mathis
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Why didn't you get the tube instead of cycling all that way there and back?

When I answered for the last Y I first worked out a Z, cross-referencing it, doing Google-checks to ensure it worked.

AA is making me neurotic. Still, I'll soon be in the Outer Hebrides. And it's raining!

There's no such thing as the wrong weather, it's just the wrong clothing. Or so they say....
It was wet at The Lizard today also. South to North and a Goretex needed!

No! Kind of you to think of my best interests, heartface ....but Cloughie's goretex-clad exploits in extreme weather have revitalised me.

An easy one, since it's late: an L to link Dvorak, Bax and Havergal Brian
