The reference is to one of the Bruckner Masses, perhaps?
It was partly serious, I do wonder what the adjective would be. But not Naxos.

Yes, all of the masses have it.

                Nicene

J B Dykes hymn tune Nicaea
Vivaldi Credo in E minor, his only setting of the Nicene Creed
Not sure about Bruckner, does only one of his mass settings (No. 2 in E minor) contain a through-composed Credo ?

Well done, that is what I wanted. The Bruckner bit was just to be a pointer to the Nicene Creed that he would have used, being a good Catholic. In retrospect I should have said "for example" or something. Never mind, you got it. <phew>.

I wil be going away later today until the end of next week. My internet access will be subject to available wifi and the opportunities to escape from Mrs Flay who is expecting my devoted attention the whole time...

What will be the Object of your desires, mercia?

                      O

Mily's fantasy, Alexander's (French) dream and one of Benjamin's symphonies

I wonder how Flay is getting to the Highlands and Islands? Can you fly I wonder because otherwise it would take days and days to drive ...... not that a car would be much use up there because - they're islands!
As to mercia's puzzle, I don't have a solution, I got as far as Mily (if it's Balakirev and not Mily Cyrus) with an O but then floundered on, presumably Benji is Britten but couldn't get an O. So, it's just to let mercia know, I have been having a go!

                          bless you

Benjamin is not Britten but a rather obscure composer who featured in one of rubbernecker's recent visits
                          Mily is indeed Balakirev

I suppose my clue to O would be "look east"

Ah! Thanks, any mention of Benjamin automatically suggests Britten of course ....... Obscure composer + rubbernecker = one of many! Maybe he's lurking somewhere and will suddenly appear....
Doh emoticon! At 17:40 have just got the second link to the first!! It's so obvious, obscure Benjamin still eludes. But offline now until late so over to others to solve. I may have a fit of the vapors!
