Did someone call? (Sits slowly up in coffin).

If there's no garlic around I'll have a think, but I've not been near solving a real answer for ages. I just keep an eye on things and occasionally pitch in obliquely for a bit of devilment. What letter are we on, and what day is it?

The Braemar Floodlit Lawn Bowls Society might be considered to cause aural agony to many a sassenach (but not to me, who loves the sound).

One of the movements of the "Out of Doors" suite is 'With Drums and Pipes"

                Working on the rest...

                    B-B-B-Barcarolla!!

The beautiful night / woods thing makes me think of Verklรคrte Nacht but that's got nothing to do with Barcaroles, I think....

                    Ah...

there's a Barcarole called "Agony" in Sondheim's "Into the Woods"!!

                    And...

I didn't know that the Barcarole from "Tales of Hoffman" was called "Beautiful Night"(Belle nuit, รด nuit d'amour)

A C to link a minstrel's performance and a Jewish prayer with King Solomon.

Cali - it has struck me that Kol Nidrei by Bruch has a Cello solo. The other two link to tunes by Glazunov and Bloch. Am I being presumptious in considering a D. But it was merc who led me there. I was Clueless before.

merc I cross threaded - Do your next!
