    De superfluitas non curat lex.

That is Anna's Law, Beefy old boy.

Trouble is, we're not at the conclusion yet because no-one can be a***ed to solve the final element!!!

Even though I am from east London, I accept that those south Londoners have the best pie and mash shop - Arments.

He's not to be trifled with ... mmm trifle

I made this thing. I'd back off a bit on the brandy, but it did turn out well. About 1,000,000 calories (900,000 from fat) per serving.

                      Yes!

                      So Anna's Law:

                      Gandhi
                      1. Ammy worked out Philip Glass (the compound) and
                      2. Anna got the Rotterdam connection - both leading to Gandhi as PG's opera Satyagraha was based on his life
                      3. Mercia got Shankar's connection to the film Gandhi

If Mercia's sitting it out and Anna has declined an H... eyes down for...

                      <drum roll>

                      Amateur Hour!!

If anyone thinks Pie and Mash is tasteless slop, they haven't lived. Washed down with a cup of PG Tips tea, Skol lager or wines like Black Tower or Blue Nun, it can't be whacked

This is my local. http://www.qype.co.uk/place/108279-C...sh-Shop-London Not bad. It has to be builder's tea, sweet and strong.

... clearly M. Oven will very soon be applying to join the highly select coterie of raffiné gourmets here - a secretive group, but of which Anna, Caliban, Amateur are known to be denizens

Since Caliban has revealed his taste for builders' tea, sweet and strong <shudder> (I use loose top quality Darjeeling, Darling) plus a passion for pie and mash ........ I've really gone off him!

I think my "not bad" hardly equates to 'passion'.

                                But still:
