And, has anyone heard any of his music?

      Some clues to the W.
      Shrapnel. Strauss. Fleas. One name

This is a fun piece: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i4oYgxl9t4 Sort of Walton lite.

The clues have bamboozled me even further!

Mind you, I'm feeling pleasantly dozy today

Sarah Walker has recorded music by Hugh Shrapnel (CD: 'South of the River')

Robert Walker composed My Dog has Fleas: a Capriccio for scratch orchestra (using a four-note tone row based on the tuning of the strings of a ukulele).

Just posted to Caliban and then saw subcontra had got the two remaining Walker elements! Robert Walker also composed English Parody Mass (mentioned in my original clue) which we've had before in another question on AA I think but a different letter. I'm not sure how often Sarah Walker is presenting on R3 these days. So I think it's over to subcontra for the letter of his choice.

Scb, are you rustling up something devilish?

I have a modest A I could inflict on the company, if not...

Reminds me of an old Animals B Side 'Gonna send you back to Walker'

Try a Y who is a Shakespearian friend of Sam, comes first, and joins Faust.

Difficult to get past Yorick on this one, though how he could fit the other clues eludes me. Otherwise the only Shakespearean Ys I can think of are various Yorks (Dukes, Bishops &c.)...

                          In other words: ummmm

You have the correct Y. Now link him separately with Sam and Faust and think what comes at the beginning.
