I don't like questions about football ........ I think Ammy may have got some inklings? All I got was Havergal Brian, born in Dresden, Stoke-on-Trent and he lost the Will to live cos he changed him name? And I really don't have a clue on this one.

        Correct

A composer called Bruce Benedict was the composer of a musical version of "Jude the Obscure" ( pick a song and dance number out of that! Perhaps a climactic ensemble entitled "Just hangin' around"... ? )

Two Bs there anyway. Any good?

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
        Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Yes, but the ointment's very helpful.

          "All", she says!

          - changed his name from "William" to "Havergal".

So, neither Bruce nor Benedict, but a trio of Brians required.

Sieben Sterne- written for organist Kevin Bowyer.

Anyone care to fill in Brian the Obscure? (In the nicest possible way, of course!)
