mercia...I don't think so...it's the musical consequence of the assassination that's relevant, not its location.

Assassination of King Gustav III in 1792 which is the basis of the Verdi opera, Un ballo in maschera and your clue I think said an Italian did very well out of it?
Where's Ammy gone now, he cracked it, he cannot go walkabout!

After the assassination of Gustav II, the Drottiningholm Palace Opera fell into disuse and disrepair, but Verdi used the assassination as the subject of 'Un Ballo in Maschera'. There was an earlier fire (I'll give you that, generous soul that I am!). That just leaves the house's disappointment in relation to another very famous opera.

Not really, I said about Verdi, you got the place name. You just have to get the filum and then you can progress. I'm not about to sweep in imperiously and grab your glory!

No wonder they are the talk of NW2

I set a question some rounds ago to which the answer was Drottningholm. None of the present info was involved, and clearly did not strike me as I researched that question <doh>
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

EDIT (after feverish searching): I can find

Sainsbury's Melton Mowbray Large Pork Pie 440g
                              Buy 2 for £3.00

                              That the deal?
