Please sir, please sir, please sir, I knew that one without looking it up!

(I was heavily into 'Ariadne' during the heady days of the Jessye Norman / Kathleen Battle production in the '80s... Virtually knew if off by heart. That list of lovers is part of Zerbinetta's big showpiece, coloratura number - sort of operatic version of the Fire Station roll-call at the start of Trumpton - "Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grub"... Come to think of it, maybe they were Captain Flack's conquests....? )

Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Something straighforward for a Sunday evening

An A to connect Albéniz, Chausson and Purcell.

Arthur, the last time you made an innocent enquiry, you were still waiting for your teeth to come through - so that you could start lying through them!.

Arfur..always makes me smile. My christian name is Roger. I was on the phone to a call centre giving my details and when asked my initial, replied 'R for Roger'. The policy documents duly arrived addressed to, yes, you guessed it, "Arthur Roger".

I can see why there have been no bites - mea maxima culpa.

Let's try instead ... What B links infamous Truman’s recent release, a very early coronation and James Joyce?

All I'm saying is that I don't think that even Cloughie would pass an answer that varied from Bobolescu to Barbulescu
