          No, a red herring. Cloughie mentioned "Gnossienne." Wiki says it "was a word that did not exist before Satie used it as a title for a composition. The word appears to be derived from "gnosis"...." etc

          (So yes, it is Erik Satie in the clue)

                            So a G (concept) engaged in by Satie, Debussy and Chopin...

                            Having some trouble with this (not helped by an INSANELY slow internet connection at the orifice ), and have to do some work now... Shall continue to cogitate.
