Clogs, trains and a porcupine - sounds like Honegger but I can't make most of it fit.

Not one of your two letter specials is it? Clogs = Clog Dance = La Fille Mal Gardée....
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

An excellent start, Calibs. I realise I confounded you with my du clues, but it isn't La. However the ballet is correct (but you have the wrong sort of spines).

A rare albino echidna has been released after being rescued on the outskirts of Canberra, Australia.
