        Well done cloughie!

"Year of the Cat" - 1976 song and album by Al Stewart. (And I discovered by a cloughie coincidence that in 1976 Cat Stevens nearly drowned off the coast of Malibu, causing him to alter his life philosophy).

Shosty 11th symphony - subtitled The Year 1905 (the 3rd movement is subtitled "Eternal Memory").

Prokofiev's symphonic suite The Year 1941 (3rd movement subtitled For the Brotherhood of Man: "a triumphant lyrical hymn to victory and the brotherhood of peoples").

It was interesting listening to the talk last night given during the evening concert, about the Russian Composers during WW2 being gathered in a place of safety where they could churn out adequately rousing patriotic music.

As this isn't Scrabble, you may miss the Z and skip to an A if you wish!

Not Richards - two different Rs.

The other R is another performer of Alkan's music.
