I can say for certain that it is Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, and not Edelweiss.

I am glad the defendant clarified that, m'lud. Pardon my impertinence but you will recall that your initial question to him was:

I feel there was a cunning clough and dagger ambiguity in his answer, slyly intending to confuse the jury.

However now that this has been clarified to everyone's satisfaction, may I put it to the jury that the solution we are seeking is Evergreen?

..but looking again at the question it's not in the title of the Russian piece, so it's a mistrial.

And recalling the research he did last night, Mr Flay QC realises that Ever Green was in fact written by Rodgers and Hart

Impressive submissions, Mr Flay! We need Lord Justice Cloughie to amble back and pass sentence and maybe drop a judicial hint or two...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
            Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

As ever Flay your answers are inventive but not evergreen or even cabbage looking. Yoy need to look for the E word (an adjective) in three works - the Russian and English being classical and the other being definitely R&H'stein.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

That's another evergreen partnership but also irrelevant!

Have you been swimming in that all afternoon, Calibs? I don't have £10 to gamble. Mrs Flay went to see Cabaret last night. It cost me a fortune!

And it contained male nudity. She said it was no comparison with mine . But which way?

Taking that question as wholly rhetorical , may I suggest a rival entertainment: the denizens of AA ought to go on a bus trip to see this, in honour of our barometreuse and instinctive puzzle-solver:
