I am assuming the Fournier is Pierre. I won't say more as I am offline in about 20 minutes. I would say that I have spent many, many, happy days in Biarritz and the Basque Country and have yet to catch up on yesterday's BBC Wales programme about the 200 children evacuated to South Wales during the Civil War and taken in by the miners, many of whom also went to fight fascism.

        To state my case M'Lud

He was a keen boxer and followed Fournier twice - into the Krettly Quartet and a professorship at the Conservatoire de Paris.

Very much so young Ams - sailing over the pavilion for six to complete a scarily swift century.

Have you time for a P?

Battling the rather icy gale coming from the north west as I headed... north west home ... it's good to collapse onto the sofa and enjoy the confidence of a man in form at the crease

One question from your fans: who the flippin' 'eck is E Hugh-Jones?
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                  Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Anton I always have time for a P = apparently it's my age

What P connects a fox, a philosopher, and the devil upon two sticks?

That would be Ams's Welsh friend Elaine who sets the words of Walter De La Mere and Frances Cornford as well as the great Wilfred......

I'm doing the same, tucked away convalescing in the spare room but listening to Bruckner 8 (which I've been avoiding for some months as I had been overplaying it)

My 'crease' metaphor was exclusively a cricketing one... in my mind at any rate!! However, I see what you mean

Hope your recovery is proceeding as hoped! How long do you have to be sequestered and inactive?

                                Bon rétablissement, mon brave!

Thanks am and an for the elucidation re: Ms Huge-Ones
