It might be a little while. I only dropped in for a few minutes during a break from some urgent work that will keep me going for the rest of the evening, so just chat among yourselves about England's prospects in the cricket World Cup or the Rugby Six Nations or anything else that interests you.

OK: Don't do it, Sally - you know he's not worth it!

Apologies for the delay. I was working late into the evening.

What D is associated with a doll, a nymph and a priestess?

Roll on the omnibus this weekend. Was it a better week, ofca?? And what do you think of Sally's new barnet? Doesn't alter the fact that she makes my flesh creep every time she fawns over her daughter saying "Wosie"...

Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

            SCB I'm thinking Debussy..

There's the Doll's Serenade in Children's Corner; Syrinx was a nymph I guess... Not sure about the Priestess. Maybe one of those other shimmery birds he wrote about: Bilitis? Delphic Dancers?

              Right nationality, wrong composer.

Ah! Délibes? Coppélia, Sylvia and Lakmé?

I think the new hairstyle may have something to do with the treatment that the actress who plays Sally underwent when she discovered that she herself had cancer.
I've only seen Monday's episodes so far ... some improvement on the last couple of weeks, I would say.

Yes the old Alt-130 (right-hand number pad) comes in handy, hé?

Is that work in the sense of "I've been stuffing my face at a top London eaterie, but it was all for the sake of client relations - therefore it counts" sort of work?

Well, it is Friday after all ......... Give the boy a break! I missed out on the Delibes having to go for an appointment. I have been patiently waiting for an electrifying E Oops! Have I had a vision as to the answer?

That was cancelled - as far as I was concerned (the person I was standing by to fill in for suddenly found they could go...)

It was hence real work. However I am now ensconsed in a corner desk with which you are familiar and on the basis that it's tough to libel Mr Gaddafi, I am able to devote myself to more important matters...

Anna - chuff chuff! I have been diverted by the debate as to the word 'totty'. I am now concentrating on the E question.
