Fred is indeed Delius, Ilde is Pizzetti but John is from a different genre.

But that is as far as I got as I went offline and I doubt if he had anything to do with the puzzle. With all this talk of Gentiles are we in Biblical territory?
Edit: crossed with Flay who snuck up behind me!!
        Shoulda stuck with it Anna.

Didn't have time cloughie and then this morning I discovered another - Ildebrando D'Arcangelo and he didn't seem to fit with a Fred or John either, so I gave up but it seems Ferney has cracked it.

Nope! I've been toying with "Hear(ing)", "Hills" and "Hassan", all to no avail.

For a post-op bloke on crutches with problems with his gentiles he's amazingly quick!!
Ahem, just to stay ontopic, I have been looking for John.
Edit: No joy with John and I cannot link Delius to Pizzetti either (although Ferney has found that link)

High Hills - correct - one of other the Highs will require translation. The other you'll need to cross the pond!

There are greater powers at work here. How on earth did ferney find Fred Delius like that, and how did mercs hit at high hills?

                            Pacta sunt servanda !!!

A mystery, Holmes. I'll go and find Mrs Hudson and ask her to make some tea, you try and keep Anna calm.
