On second thoughts, not sure about that - doesn't 'vera viginitas' mean 'true virginity' - it's not a plural, I don't think, but a feminine abstract noun...
'vera virginitas'. Why might young Caliban think "vera" was an abstract noun here? Might it not be more likely to be an adjective, agreeing with (feminine) 'virginitas'?
But to revert to his inspired "verae".
Handy hint - always useful to remember that res [thing] is feminine. And is often omitted, implied. So if the adjective verum had to agree with an omitted, implied, res, plural "things" - well, yes : true (things) res verae - in short verae...
