Come now, hercule. There's no need to shout. Let's keep this a friendly place

It would seem to be your turn, but if (for a reason I am presently unable to unravel) you don't wish to participate, then I have an H I just thought of while in the bath.

      Ok

      What H connects 43, 16 and sneezing?

Is is the name Harry? There is a musical sneeze in the start of the Hary Janos Suite, Harry Christophers Sixteen and Harry Partch and his 43 tone scale.

... that is what I call an excellent clue and a swift sure response!

Anna, I think if Japan were able to harness one tenth of your brainpower it would fill their present nuclear energy gap.

Yes, all three absolutely correct, (including the one R in Hary Janos).

You get I, and I can now go on a cycle ride...

rubbra, the Hary Janos is the only piece of music I know that includes a sneeze so after that it was plain sailing. Enjoy your bike ride! I have to go offline now until approx 1.00pm so here is a quick and easy one (well, I think it is but cobbled together rather hastily) A one word answer.

Which I is known for something you would be glad of if you were in a dark place puzzling over a vexing issue and Hello, my name's Julian and this is my friend Sandy

Edit: You are looking for the name of one composer.

The second half of your question plus the clue led me to wish that there had been a composer, a lost master of the German baroque perhaps (or maybe yer actual French), called Innibold.

                But there wasn't.

                Back to your question...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

That's really funny. All the clues refer to the works for which he is best known, the last clue refers to a symphony if that is any help.

                    Ives?

                    Central park in the Dark, and its subtitle about contemplation;
                    Camp Meeting...

                    ?

But why would Central Park in the Dark make you glad when puzzling over a vexing issue.

Any idea what you might be glad of in the dark of Central Park, just to round it off either of you?

No idea for the moment but I've just thought of one of my favourite J&S exchanges:

HORNE: You bought it at a Charcuterie? Your butcher?

JULIAN: You think so? Must be the way I've had me hair done

Sometimes Radio 7 run a season of Round the Horne, I think they're hilarious and considering when they were first broadcast it's amazing what they got away with.

I do have to apologise, I realise I put 4 elements in the clues, not 3 as the rules state!

Edit: Therefore, as Tapiola got Ives, Park and Camp I think he gets the J (if we all agree on that) and what you would be glad of in the dark is Calcium Night Light of course!
