      Yes cloughie ... I'll give you that. But a lot of things happened or were written or painted on the Côte d'Azur, it's a bit loose to my mind.

      I wish Anna would leave Roger's enormous pole alone and give us a D, egg wetter gree (as Beefy would say).

            I shall delete my puzzle, I rather was a bit premature, let cloughie continue with the D as he got it.

            The Riviera series is lovely isn't it. But I also love Richard E. Grant!

                I'm not sure I remember, it was so simplistic, but:

                What D makes you think of a BBC Nature programme, an enthusiast of steam trains and someone you associate with beef whilst you whistle to work

                    Of course D and BBC nature programmes make one think of David (Attenborough) but you put a single programme, so that's wrong. And 'whistling' and 'work' makes me think Disney... but that's wrong I think.

                              Steam trains could be Dan Snow or David Shepherd, then Desperate Dan and his cow (beef) pie but did he whistle?
