Seriously though, well done to everyone who had a go at this. Hope you derived some enjoyment despite the inevitable frustrations. G'night!

I shall be out tomorrow carrying Lady G's shopping bags so something quick - what K links Grieg, Citizen Kane and a Lion of 71?

If hercule wishes to post the first two I am confident I can finish it off, if he wants.

Dear hercule, I'd rather you took the full set as I set the I question and I think you passed over your last turn. Let's not quibble about this, anton has been told he must go shopping!! And collaboration is not against any of the rules!

Oh dear. Well, if I post the last answer after you have posted your first two answers, as you get 2 out of 3 you get the full set don't you? Those are the rules (Aren't we being terribly polite?)

wouldn't it be funny if these were wrong?

i've got Nat King Cole possibly having provided some music in Citizen Kane (there seems to be some doubt about it)
and Grieg's Hall of the Mountain King from Peer Gynt

I have The British Lions team of 1971. This was the only tour to result in a Lions victory over the All Blacks in New Zealand. From then on Barry John was known as King John.

But, as you say, hilarious if we are both totally wrong!

Both totally correct - well done and of course Keith Jarrett was a, lesser, Welsh giant! L to Hercule I think.

Wow...a brisk and courteous early morning passage of play... That was fun. Hercule back in the saddle and about to give us L

I'm sure I'm not alone in loving the amusing 'reasons for editing' - 'idiot' & 'daft' from anton, 'creeping senility' from hercule... Isn't the edit facility here a boon
