I often think that had Wagner concentrated on a symphonic output instead of operatic ... but then we can all dream. An S dreckly but if anyone has one up their sleeve go ahead.

              R is Dick

power grace and style Dick Cory - Paul Simon
Gerry Marsden - You'll Never Walk Alone - Dick Rodgers
In a pod with B7 (like 2 peas) Dick Wagners Only Symphony

              I make it mercs 1 Cloughie 2

                oh thanks AG

I thought I was put off the Richard Rodgers scent [not that I could have progressed from there]

                well done the cluff

that Wagner thing is obviously a quotation I've not come across

I would say its mercs on points - Richard Rogers whereas I only got Richard Cory and got Richard Wagner but not really the pod quote.

According to Wiki Wieck was at the first performance and wrote that Wagner 1 was "as like as two peas to Beethoven's Symphony in A major"
