Leave young ferney alone, cracking effort I thought!! Harald Saga = the modern work with Anglo-Saxon origins, no?

I was only having a laugh... (As all bullies say)

I thought it related to the name of an AA contributor, so was perplexed.

I've had a busy few days, and now Mrs Flay is away until Tuesday...

Eh? A large portion of coleslaw is urgently needed to ease my perplexed mind!

                  I'm somewhat surprised too

Tippett - Knot Garden - Dov dressed as Caliban (is that right ?) - not sure

Solomon's Knot Baroque Collective - early music ensemble ? - not really "ancient music"

a piece by Karl Jenkins - Adiemus IV: The Eternal Knot - Celtic history rather than Anglo-Saxon ?

one out of three correct ???

Cor blimey mercia. I was nowhere.

I could never get to grips with Knot Garden... It does indeed appear that a character dresses as Ca-ca-caliban...

Two out of three mercia. Apologies for sloppy terminology, but there seems to be some looseness in general with early music termiinology, as far as I can see.

Karl Jenkins is wrong! I am glad about that! I thought I might have given the game away in using the word "not" and showing a picture of a garden when replying to Flay.

So do we have any more offers for a modern work with anglo saxon origins?

No not a hint. Just an alternative to smilies. I can't compete with the smilie experts on this thread.
