    Yes

"Giuseppe Parini’s libretto [for "Ascanio in Alba"], based on Virgil’s Aeneid, concerns the wedding of Ascanio, son of Venus and Aeneas" (BBC Music Magazine website www.classical-music.com)

Coleslaw: three composers wrote operas based on Virgil's Aeneid

    Berlioz - Les Troyens
    Purcell - Dido & Aeneas
    Mozart - Ascanio in Alba

Henryk is good - I like Henryk. But Hieronymus is bad againe.

Oh well, I'm thankfully off-piste. I thought: There is a film Death of a Scoundrel, by Warner Bros, so, thinks I, find a composer called Warner who tinkled the ivories with Arthur.
Once more I feel relieved that I am so wrong and can now go and relax.

Edit: I've just found this: The sweet little girl and the quaint Squeegee! by H. Waldo Warner (1909) Sorry!

Better to be off-piste than piste-off, Anna - but no Warners were harmed in the making of this puzzle.

Do you like Henryk from a musical output point of view or from a "...that's on the card..." point of view?

What is it with these Ruskies adding random letters to perfectly good UK christian names ....Henryk.....Juliusz .....???

Could it be Henryk Wieniawski? I only offer this after having frittered the hours away, in a most idle manner, and I must now put to cook the De Cecco fettuccine and gather some basil!

Honestly, I have no idea, think anton knows.
Edit: Just seen anton's, please ignore me

                          - indeed it could!

Lucky old Basil. That sounds a particularly fine fritter, Anna - I'm sure your coleslaw will be equally mouth-watering!

                            The latter, in this case.

Aren't they "Polskies" rather than "Ruskies"? (I hope that isn't a term of abuse - never heard it so used. I'll delete if so.)

                                I've never seen the film!

Getting very close to bedtime: Anna got the answer (Henryk Wienawski), but has since gone quiet feeding Basil with fritters. Anyone care to supply the coleslaw and provide an X, Y, Z or A?
