      Klingsor?

      The story of my life
      Pacta sunt servanda !!!

Forgive me for being an ass, but I cannot as yet find an association for Klingsor with a white donkey or champagne. How are you doing, ferney?

Hopeless! The only way I got onto Klingsor was by eliminating other Scheherezade connections.

I'm working on the assumption that there's more than one Klingsor involved, and I'm about to go through the libretto of Act Two of Parsifal looking for Donkey references ... I may be some time.

The other little known composer - also a poet - is Georges Migot (1891 - 1976) He set the (17) Poèmes de Brugnon ( there is a champagne Brugnon and nectarine is brugnon in French - sorry my bad sense of humour) by Tristan Klingsor ( real name Léon Leclère ) & Migot himself it seems! . He also set other poems by Klingsor to music.

Perhaps something less Literary & more music now from Flay?

                        Why thank you, ma'am

What L could link an organist for the Jesuits, a 16th century Franciscan composer, and the Benedicts of Pluscardin Abbey

One L, although the third is plural. Three works, three composers. One is priceless, one terrible and the last are rejoicing

Ah thanks for the clue, I was about to say that what could be linking them for me was an Augustinian beer from Leffe Abbey

Afraid not, although they are all liturgical, and the L is therefore in a language common to them all.
