Thanks - I've forgotten the rules! Just as well, also, as I'm rather busy the next few days, though today I thought I'd see how the game was/is getting on.

That's a shame, I was looking forward to a Dave clue. All the three names could be linked to self portraits.

On researching more about Mr Segovia, Wiki tells me:
Segovia was one of those to whom homage was paid in the 1978 song by Ian Dury and The Blockheads: Ain't Half Been Some Clever Bastards.

            Cyril Scott:

Sonatina for solo guitar commissioned by Andrés Segovia
Danse Nègre arranged for piano duet by Esther Fisher (and she did various recitals of his works e.g. 25 February 1931 at the Wigmore Hall)

            And by George Hall-Neale:

Which I must say is an excellent portrait.

A clue might be in order at this great distance from the inception?

Obviously no clue was needed. Care to explain why, Anton?

(Apologies, I have been in Bristol with postgraduate son who had a job interview, so I had allowed AA a rest. Just home now after a long day. Fingers crossed for the job.)

Yes, that is what Wiki told me.

Thanks. I may get back in here in a while - if I get to solve a clue, of course. The S one was interesting, and my Fisher was a diferent one I think!
