I think it's Flay from the Kalinka - I've chores to do which will keep me away from the laptop.

OK will do. Firstly Anna's Law must be obeyed:

Johnny Marks unfortunately wrote "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer"
Rudolf Friml wrote the musical Rose-Marie
David Wall danced the role of Crown Prince Rudolf in Kenneth MacMillan's ballet Mayerling

                  So be it:

Experience a famous festival, an arresting performance for a composer, and Buck's stops.

Edward Solomon was arrested for bigamy but hardly a performance I suppose.....

Is this Sir Percy Buck, composer and organist (hence no stranger to 'stops') at Wells, Worcester and Harrow School...?

No S in sight yet though

Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Was not Igor Stravinsky arrested in the 40's for a performance in Boston of his arrangement of the Star-Spangled banner. His offence: supposed interference with national property, or was it national propriety?
