    there seem to be a few singers with names starting with B who made debuts of one sort or another in Puccini's opera*, but that may not be what the question means at all
    ........ and of course other Bohemes are available. I don't think any instruments first appeared in Boheme. Not sure what the rest of the question means. Very intriguing.

    *Brian, Buckman, Betty, Botta, Bastianini, Bjorling .....

        It is Puccini and it is a forename you need.

                I've also found a Boheme debut Bessie Abott - but how can I make her "fit for purpose" ? is that a phrase from a song ?
