actually "Lady Sarashina" seems to be about the aforementioned diarist. Forge ahead.

An F. A couple of ingredients. If you can catch them and buy them there's somewhere secure to keep them.

Presumably the buying of them is significant......otherwise would you buy 'em if you had caught 'em?

There are two titles including ingredients and a third title where they would be secure. For the F you'll need their composer.

so F is a composer. He (or she) wrote (amongst other things) three pieces of music, two of which feature the name of a type of food. The third piece features the name of a place where food is kept "secure" - fridge? cupboard? safe? larder? Why, I ask myself, does one need to keep food secure ?

                              allergies - nuts ?

It is not specifically food that is kept secure - escapes were known!
