    No rivers are involved. (And you are in the wrong county.)

            That will not help very much. Try linking the name with the previous bit of the clue.

              You mean Preston House and the formation of the Barclay James Harvest Orchestra?

                No. I mean the words in the original problem.

                  Any link with Norah Jones, though if there is a link with Barclay James Harvest - they did record on the Harvest label.

                    No. The harvest is agricultural.

                          Oh dear dear. Jenner sais pas.

                          I think ferney knew all along, but mercs clinched it. Quam dilecta.

                            Yes. Henry Lascelles Jenner, composer of three hymn tunes:

                            Quam Dilecta (taking its name from the opening words of the Latin hymn translated by J M Neale as "We love the place, O God");
                            Jenner (named after himself, set for the hymn "For Thee, O dear, dear country" - another J M Neale translation from the Latin);
                            Preston (presumably named from Preston-next-Wingham, where Jenner was twice the Vicar [1854-1866 and 1870-1898], serving as Bishop of Dunedin in between, set for the hymn "Lord of the harvest, once again").

                            So mercia to keep us on our toes.

                                That's OK.

                                I think the expression quam dilecta is delightful. I shall make it my motto henceforth!

                                Now how do I add it as a footer? Can't remember...
