Piccola serenata, by Bernstein, might relate to the "little" of the clue.

No, it's much more obvious than that!

Now, this is going to sound a daft question but we are looking for a further two serenades and Eine kleine Nachtmusik doesn't come into the equation?

Edit: Ignore that, I am having a blonde moment

Yes, Anna, the Eine Kleine had occurred to me also, though I was unsure where I was going with it...

Not at all, Eine Kleine is indeed the other serenade I was referring to. The third element is not a musical work per se, but is to do with another word in the clue

                  Standchen? with an umlaut

                  no, that's a musical work

No, no, it's really obvious. Think Michael Winner....

he says "calm down dear" a lot in an advert but I can't think what it advertises

No point in prolonging it, we're as good as there:

                        Serenade

                        - derived from ‘sereno’ = calm
                        - Mozart Serenata Notturna K.239
                        - Mozart Eine Kleine Nachtmusik K.525

Time for T already, who wants to serve it?

                          Do I have to?

And here was me having such a pleasant afternoon...

I believe mercia did most of the work on this one. Would you care to give us a T?

well I've got an easy boring T, wish I could do entertaining cryptic like everybody else, anyway

Did Larina's daughter make her debut as Hippolyta? No, but she wrote a "Song about Happiness"

Before mercia's T is tackled and at the risk of sounding dim, what was the Michael Winner component of the puzzle? Just the words "calm down" or does he advertise something called Serenade?
