Err no Anna... Not sure what you could mean

A clue? Well I already gave one: 'hows-your-father'

Oh, and Gregory and Kurosh each have at least one brother; Edward, as far as I know, does not.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

What makes you think that Anna & I (let alone mercia & Anton & Ofcachap) know from how's-your-father?? *boggler**boggler*

That's OK, I was just thinking musical D word was diatonic (Pope Gregory - the how's your Father clue fits him, Edward Elgar) but glad that I'm completely wrong! I can now go and relax

I've thought about father but Kurosh seems to be blocking everything!

Kurosh has a younger brother called Kavus; Gregory a younger brother called Miles IV.

Sorry if this turned out more fiendish than I imagined, folks. I think I've all but given it to you now, no?

Mind you Anna's cryptic reference to Welsh spelling suggests she pipped you but was too shy....

                          Care to elabburate?????

I agree I think Anna has come over all shy!

                            Children of I think
                            Sir Colin
                            Andrew and
                            Miles ............

Of course if you'd said Miles Dewey IV Davis

Happy to pass E (by gum) to Anna

No, you carry on anton, I really only posted that as a tiny clue-ette!! I won't be around enough to set and check (changing over ISPs, never done that before, could be chaos ensuing.....) plus various projects on the go with increasing pressure to finish.

Well done! Kurosh Davis is an accomplished artist (http://kuroshdavis.co.uk/3/artist.as...&AKey=RSHLR8D4 including rather a good portrait of his dad) as well as musician in which capacity I believe he played a role in a significant life event for our friend rubbers to whom I will cede the task of explaining it should he wish.

Good luck Anna, go for it Anton.
