    APOLOGIES!

I'd intended to monitor this from work, but the NYorksCC declares this a "inappropriate site"! (What's going on that I don't know about?!)

    Anyway:

True - and the clue refers to none of them. Correct series, by the way. None of the clues is Musical (although there is a modern opera associated with the Star Trek answer), nor is the overall (not a clue!) answer.
You may have cracked it. Sister Wendy, as I recall?
She is indeed the habitual Art Critic.
Are we looking for three sisters?
    Yes. And no.

If I'd been more on the ball last night and put the first clue last, there could've been another Musical association. A reason to be cheerful, in fact.

Well, I am stuck. The only 3 characters with an S in Star Trek are Spock, Scotty and Sulu, I think.

Then the only other 'S' character is 'Star Trek' is the letter 'S'? Should we be more literal?

Don! Go back to your #9348. ("Drabble" doesn't begin with "S", either.)

I only hope I'll understand the answer when it finally arrives - or has it already done so?

It's almost there: I fear you'll be disappointed by the banality of the answer, Norfy. Seeing some of the suggested answers to this puzzle, I rather wish I'd thought of them! (The "Scarborough" suggestion is so much better than mine, I feel rather to have let the side down!)

So, the clue says a character from Star Trek but it's not Spock, Scotty or Sulu. It is then something to do with the actual ship or is it one of the enemies of Capt. Kirk?

I bet the answer is something only a seriously hardcore Trekkie would know! Or a Klingon!
