George Fenton (who arranged Handel's anthem for use in the film The Madness of King George - that well-known sequel ).
Boyce was the third composer I had in mind, who set the precedent for using Handel's setting at every subsequent coronation.

Over to you to start another cycle through the alphabet.

Whisky is a bit of a mystery, a few years ago I spent Christmas with a lover of it and we sampled a lot of different brands. One, cannot remember name, begins with L perhaps, absolutey so tasted of iodine it was only worthy of checking down the sink I think. Horrible but possibly useful for disinfecting kitchen worktops.

Oh, Anna, I so hope you don't mean my favourite tipple Lagavulin? (Donald McLeod's, too, IIRC): wonderful, creamy smoked oysters flavour: one swallow does make a Spring.

... but I'm wasting time trying to make merry in the A!

I'm afraid it does sound like it.

My favourite, too. Just as well you didn't try my second favourite, the Laphroaig, Anna.

You're right - it was a Fiery Angel.

I should've mentioned that the answer is a literary figure, doubly appropriate to this Thread, that links the three composers.

And it's Sergei, not Gabriel, Prokofiev, by the way!

The USS Prokofiev (NCC-68814) was a Federation Andromeda-class starship in service to Starfleet in the 24th century.

I just thought I'd chuck that one in. Amazing how they use the past tense...

No, that's written by Julian Philips. Methinks this is a red herring.

To clarify; "a literary figure" here doesn't mean a "character from literature".
