OK, I did have a B prepared but no C, so this is very simple (and quite honestly, pathetic and not at all classical!)

    What C connects:
Someone who invented an anatomically impossible childrens favourite
    The E Street Band
A Nobleman who met a boozy end
Someone who opened many concerts for the Beatles

Which 'D' links instructions issued by six singers, born respectively in: London; North Dakota; Surrey; and Minnesota, Minnesota and Minnesota?

No: I only remembered Daktari after Anna gave the big hint following Mercia's lead - and the only Clarence connected with the Beatles I could find was a skit on Saturday Night Live by Eddie Murphie! (Clarence Walker, for future reference).

I like the look of your D

Thank you! As usual, I took the trouble to get the punctuation right.
