      I hope you find one!

Merc's right: there is a Paul involved.

Two Musical clues and a literary. Answer only ultimately Musical.

... and Stephen Foster's Swanee River ('The Old Folks At Home')? Still working on the Dylan Thomas while PH's swan is done to a turn.

Are we referring to the recording of Dylan Thomas reading Yeats's 'Leda and the Swan'?

              Hindemith =
              Foster =

... the Thomas is something more homely.

EDIT: And you've got the overall connection, too, of course!

... an ink drawing of which is on my study wall. I can't see it because of the piles of unshelved CDs waiting for me to decorate!

A hat trick, Norf! Over to yours for T.

You know, yesterday I was playing with the Swansea idea.. but I couldn't make it relate to anything else. Bravo Norfs! But why is the viola concerto 'rotating'... ah, as you were, just looked it up. Not knowing German, that was my problem
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

                      Thank you, fhg!
Which 'T' links works by composers born in Maryland, Florida and Piedmont? And which of the three shares a further link with a fourth 'T' by a much more famous composer?

Struggling a bit here Norfs - should I be looking through a Glass darkly?

Glass is as far as I'd got too...

And is the Floridian composer a native or Delius?

And is the Piedmont in Italy or in USA?

                            Damned elusive, this Norfs today

                              Oh.

So not Zappa for the Maryland composer?

The trouble is that Zappa, Glass and Delius are already "famous" composers, so the fourth "Much more famous" composer would have to be in the Bach/Beethoven-league "name".
