thanks scb - that was a great question. I think I read about Paul M-B some time ago. Obviously it didn't stick.

a Q composed at 5:00am (but not worth the wait)

          a Q to link

an Hesperides song cycle, the Sudbury constituency and Colonel Hawkins's debut

Jack Hawkins, whose military career peaked in his being a Colonel, appeared in an American mini-series called QB VII based on work by Leon Uris. QB in this context refers to Queen's Bench.Any use?

Roger Quilter contributed songs to the cycle. Another Quilter was MP for Sudbury. A Peter Hawkins was the historian for the quilt in memory of people with AIDS. Or something about the Jordanaires. That's relevant too.

You can do the O if you've got one, Anton. I am supposed to be doing my paperwork...
Correct Just thought you'd like to be re-assured.

Glad to see you managed to move on to whatever letter it is now. I've been out of the loop too long. (Actually stuck on the M4).

Things certainly move a lot faster around here

I was thinking of a song-cycle wholly by Quilter setting a selection of Herrick's Hesperides

Jack Hawkins's theatrical debut (at a young age) ?
