                            Sadly not much worthwhile of his staggering pianism survives - I used to own some LPs but I loaned them out & didn't get them back

                            He had a very complicated personality (was he 'gifted' or an 'autistic savant') and a pushy mother, spent years living in hostels for homeless people and seemed to have had a pretty awful life.
