      oh, something to do with Frogg Cafe, though exactly what I have no idea
      this rings a bell from the last time Zappa was the answer
      EDIT - Frogg Cafe are/were a Zappa tribute band and I'm guessing that Questions Without Answers is a track from an album ???

      no idea regarding Zappa / large spirits

          Ten minute pause in f-f-f-f-freezing Paris before adjourning for trebles (armagnac sounds about right)... AA has frozen too!

          I've had a rootle around: there's a South African sambuca () called Zappa http://springbokdelights.com.au/prod...&cat=276&page=

          Any good re: spirits? But why large?
          "...the isle is full of noises,
          Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
          Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
          Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

                  Not only is it a track from an album but it quotes a theme by Frank Zappa.

                    No. "Soul Giants" was the original name of Zappa's band "Mothers of Invention".

                          A Z to link:

                          (a) some different Questions Without Answers;
                          (b) a cellist and composer;
                          (c) some large spirits.
                          (a) Frogg Café, in an 2002 album of the same name, included a track "Questions Without Answers" which quotes Frank Zappa's "Inca Roads".
                          (b) Franceso Zappa (1763–1788), composer and virtuoso cellist.
                          (c) "The Soul Giants" was the original name of Frank Zappa's band "The Mothers of Invention".

                              an A to connect

                              Frederic Shurtleff's widow, a pupil of Julius Conus, and a female Odd Couple

                              the answer involves two musical works and one building linked by the A
