Would you like me to do a U?

OK then. What U, good or otherwise, would make Sergei blow his horn?

      3 musical works...

(Forgive me Angle if you feel I am being obtuse in butting in)

The first is not primarily a musical work, but is well known for the tune

I couldn't get the third. I think I'll leave the whole thing to calibs (or anyone else). I'm beginning to hog this game.

The third was virtually the same as the second. The sound made by tooting a horn (as sometimes done by idiots at the Last Night of the Proms) is a ....?

So, could the third one be Honk! ?? (That is, if I am thinking along mercia's line?)

Sergei Prokofiev opus 18 - The Ugly Duckling
was what I was thinking, possibly wrongly, in the middle of the night

Yes indeed. "Aesthetically Challenged Farmyard Fowl" - I love that!

Perhaps you could kindly take on the V, Anna? Mercia is apparently shell-shocked.

(so long as the answer is not Valentine )
