sorry to nitpick ( "get a life mercia") but without the later restriction of symphony I still think there were several possible answers to that

I guess I'm feeling grumpy because I had to go on a police speed awareness course today because a camera caught me doing 36mph in a 30 zone, and on the course I was made to feel that it is people like me who cause all the fatal accidents ............. which I slightly resent.

Hello all, just checking in from Livigno in the Italian Alps. Skiing starts tomorrow first thing

As usual, cloughie has us perplexed. Did you knw that Kim Jong-il composed six operas?

I am sure that won't help, but it advances our knowledge
            Pacta sunt servanda !!!

You up there skiing for pleasure or is it a condition of your probation, Flay?

That does sound an absolute bind My only ever speeding fine was in a 30mph area too... I was doing 40. Before the days of courses tho... Were you offered that in place of the fine, or the points, or both, or as well as...?

Ammy are you refusing to set a K?!

I'm reasonably declining your offer, Calibs and suggesting that you are more worthy

                    There's well-put, innit?

I do find myself with a little leisure, in fact.

                    Oh Oh K then...

Talk amongst yourselves for a bit.

Gosh, I wouldn't do it for pleasure, Heaven forbid. No, I do it to amuse my family and friends, to give them something to laugh about! It's tough, but I won't shirk from my obligations.

No grappa as yet, calibs, just good old lager and wine

I might have an L up my sleeve if I can time it right...

Something fast and fun for a Wednesday evening with Masterchef coming up.

A K please connecting a famous opera composer with a viola and a bass

it was a choice between £60 fine + 3 points
or this course costing £85 [free tea & coffee]

what I meant to ask them was, if a camera catches me again (this was my first time) will I automatically get penalty points ........... they surely wouldn't send me on another identical course

Free beverages = a nice touch

My guess would be the same as yours: the course was by way of a first-offence warning let-off (an expensive one, though! )

Come on ladies and gents, the answer to K has been staring you in the face!
