    Presumably alternatives to antibiotics will be developed, but they will be cleaning/decontaminating/pre-empting chemicals so powerful that we will all have to go around permanently wearing gloves, face masks and all-enveloping onesies. The problem of feeding an overpopulating world (relative to supportive systems and carrying capacities), as represented by the escaped snakes in Iraq/Iran, is a much more pressing one, I imagine.

          Iain Duncan-Smith in a right old tangle with LBC's James O'Brien trying to explain why expecting young unemployed people to work free for PoundLand etc is really a bit of a splendid opportunity for them ....
