      Oh, well, I'd better publicly say that the vBulletin engineer, Steve, has done a wonderful job peering for hours into the deepest recesses of the system to find the problem. Technically it wasn't a 'bug' because it didn't affect the vBulletin software in general.

        Sounds great. I'll go back over to 'Last CD Purchased' and try to post my offering once again. It's nearly too late for that text as I've just ordered another CD set, but it hasn't actually arrived yet, so it should still be within the rules.

          Yes, Steve apologised that the fix didn't correct all the original problems. I don't think there were too many.

                            FWIW, would strongly advise against pasting anything from Word; it's likely to introduce all sorts of undesirable characters (of the ASCII top-bit, not the human, kind). Better to use a plain text editor - with the emphasis on 'plain'. This BBS s/w is supposed to filter out stuff it can't cope with, but suggest not tempting fate.
