B and O Beoplay H6 Mk II headphones

Having just acquired a pair of these I was wondering aloud if anyone else had a pair and what they thought of them. Personally I'm very pleased with them in terms of comfort, balance, timbre and soundstage. Having been through the Sennheiser (HD650), which I found a bit underwhelming and a bit big, Oppo PM3 (great sound but, again rather large, maybe I'm a pinhead!) and the madcap Jecklin Floats (now there was a headphone guaranteed to bring on whelps of derision and mockery), I'm very satisfied with B and O. Not a maker I'd have considered before but they seem to have got something right with these.
And they are not vault emptyingly expensive.

Sorry, the only experience of B&O phones I have is of the H3 which came 'free' with something or other (forget exactly what) I bought from Richer Sounds a couple of years ago. Very pretty and not bad sounding but not worth the list price.

My only experience of B&O anything is similar to Byn's
Compared to AKG or Bayer (who make much better ones than Sennheiser IMV) they seem over priced for what they deliver.
But I guess they are tagetted at a particular "market"

I have Sony Cordless. Bought from Argos.

Cheap as chips and you can listen anywhere in the house (even in the smallest room).

The sound quality is far superior to any integral TV speakers.

I'm an AKG kind of guy myself, initially through observing that this was the brand that seemed to be most commonly used by the recording engineers i'd come across, but not everyone wants that analytical kind of sound I guess, and there's something to be said for the kind of design values that B&O have always specialised in and which you do pay extra for.

I didn't have that model! They brought some cheaper ones out in the 90s, you still looked a complete idiot wearing them though - not something you'd use on the daily commute.

I still have an elderley pair of Stax electrostatics which I fish out from time to time. Stunning and transparent!
