    New kitchen radio

I want to upgrade my kitchen radio but unsure on which way to go, Roberts looks good but you certainly pay a premium. This radio with CD player looks good and would open up the option of playing a cd as well.

    Anyone got a recommendation ?

We have a John Lewis 'Cello' unit in our kitchen and can highly recommend it:

The internet radio is especially good, partly because FM and DAB reception is poor where it's located but mainly because it's opened up a world of radio beyond these shores and, frankly, many are better than R3!

Our kitchen Roberts has stood the test of time and still sounds first class.

Thanks for feedback, not sure if I can justify the high price tags, will see how I can work the situation.

If you have a phone, I would just use that, or else get a Bluetooth receiver and then bt from your favorite sites such as BBC RAdio 3

I have an excellent Yamaha FM/DAB/CD/USB unit with separate stereo speakers.

I have one of these as well; in my 'office' rather than the kitchen, but can also recommend it.

The whole theory of modern education is radically unsound. Fortunately in England, at any rate, education produces no effect whatsoever. If it did, it would prove a serious danger to the upper classes, and probably lead to acts of violence in Grosvenor Square."
