Problems Downloading Libretti from Decca site

Having bought the libretto-less reissue of Gergiev's Ruslan and Lyudmila on Wednesday, I am NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED by Decca's website.

In order to download the libretto, you have to 'valdiate your purchase' - this involves installing (or updating) Java on your computer. I don't much like downloading things I suspect I don't need, but it didn't help me, anyway.....after displaying a 'preparing' sign, no route to the libretto was forthcoming. Nor is there any PDF file on any of the discs themselves (you'd think there might be).

To download a libretto from EMI's site, you don't have to go through any of this rigmarole.

Has anyone managed to download a libretto from Decca/Universal? If anyone would be prepared to help me by downloading it themselves, then emailing it on to me, it'd be much appreciated!

Well, I had a look at the Decca website to try and see if I could help but the website can't even give me Gergiev's Ruslan and Lyudmila when I search for it! Or even just Ruslan and Lyudmilla....or Ludmilla.....or even Glinka!

Cheers, RM. They don't make it easy, do they? But here is the link: http://deccaopera.com/ruslan.html

What a naff site. Tried Chrome and Safari on a Mac. Both stalled. Looking at the source they check for acceptable OS and browser...both Chrome and Safari are OK. So looks like their untested lousy Java script is pants. Reading further, if it had gone according to plan, I still would have failed as they ask me, amongst other checks, to load my CD so they can check I have got it. The words 'anal' and 'retentive' spring to mind.,

Can't really see what you can do other than contact their customer support.

Why go to all that trouble for libretti? But then Decca are part of Universal Music...owned by Sony...who did some really dirty mucking about with people's OS on PCs a year or so back.

Edit: I can offer you the entire vocal score here http://javanese.imslp.info/files/img...iano_Red._.pdf
